Setting
The Graveyard begins in the house of a family, Bod's family. While the story opens on the doorstep of 33 Dunstan Road. Most of the novel takes place in the shadowed, hushed world of the graveyard. The cemetery Bod lives in is an ancient place with “stones and tombs and vaults”. Aside from a few rabbits, cats and foxes, Bod is the only living creature roaming the paths between ivy-covered tombstones and weathered mounds of rock. There are many people new and old in the graveyard. The book seems to take place hundreds of years ago as the ghost in it talk and act like they're from the 1800's or the 1600's or even before that! The novel not only takes place in the dirty old graveyard but also in places like the journey to Ghulheim and more.
